Welcome to Mrs. Duster's 3rd Grade Website!

     My husband and I moved to NC from our hometown of Pittsburgh, PA in 2012 so I could continue my career as a teacher. I feel so lucky to work in such a great school like Brassfield. Everyone is so friendly and supportive! 

     I graduated from Penn State (University Park, PA) in 2005 with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. I received my M.Ed. from Carlow University (Pittsburgh, PA) in 2010. I've taught 4th, 2nd, and now 3rd grade for the past two years. The relationships I am able to build with my students is the best part of my job! I love being a positive role model and mentor for all kids. 

     My favorite things to do when I'm not hanging out with my third grade besties is spending time with my family, traveling (especially to the beach), cooking, shopping, and exploring new places. I'm also a huge animal lover- especially dogs! My dream is to own an animal sanctuary one day for homeless animals.

     We currently live in Wake Forest with our sweet and spunky little boy, Gage, and furbabies- our Puggles, Ellie & Rosie, and cat, Lola.
